✨ Sh2-126 – Great Lacerta Nebula ✨
Sh2-126 liegt rund 1.200 Lichtjahre entfernt im Sternbild Eidechse (Lacerta). Die großflächige H-II-Region wird hauptsächlich durch die intensive UV-Strahlung des heißen Sterns 10 Lacertae zum Leuchten angeregt. In der Aufnahme zeigen sich die weitläufigen Wasserstoffstrukturen zusammen mit den darin eingebetteten dunklen Staubwolken.
